This book is somewhere in between the Elephant and Piggie and Narwhal and Jelly series books. Great emphasis is given to friendship and companionship here in this story. This story could seem silly for adults when reading aloud, but the kids would simply like that silliness in this story. Very few words on each page which would help beginning readers to get hooked to reading. Simple yet adorable illustrations keep the imagination going as the story proceeds. This book would be very much suitable for toddlers and lower-level elementary kids who are early readers.
