One day a frightened zebra suddenly appears and this little girl, Mink, makes friends with it. Mink is a very adventurous girl and doesn't really believe in rules, and she is not that fond of nighttime and sleep. She is eager to meet and befriend animals, particularly after she got hit on the head after which she is able to hear the animal voices.

Eventually, Mink realizes that the little zebra has a reason for being frightened. His parents have been held captive by an evil man Mr.Spit, an animal collector, and he doesn't have good plans for any animals that he has ever caught! He is planning to kill, stuff and display animals representing each alphabet.

However, Mink teams speechlessly communicates and wisely teams up with the animals to end the plans of Mr.Spit!
