It is very hard to learn the life lesson of being patient! It is true even when you are an adult!
Gus the French bulldog's friend Bean has come home from the store with a treat, what is it - cookies!!! They have to wait until dinner is over to have their treat. Hmm.. now that is seemingly near to impossible because it is so tempting to grab that brown paper bag of cookies and gobble it. Gus is like "okay, I can wait" for a moment, and then the next moment, he is like, "no way, can't wait a second more". Bean takes Gus out for a walk and the two enjoy the outside, play and have fun in order to pass on time, rather than thinking about the cookies the entire time. When they return, it is just the right time for dinner, and afterwards, they both enjoy their cookies too.
The feelings of Gus are so relatable, yes, it is so hard to wait for something so exciting or yummy. Of course, practice makes anything perfect, so practicing being patient, does help you improve your patience the next time something similar happens!
Thanks a lot to Kelsey @bookpublicityservices for introducing us to the adorable Gus! Eagerly waiting to check out other books of the adorable Gus Davis!
