The Very Impatient Caterpillar

This story is about a very impatient caterpillar who wants to become a butterfly, but he doesn't understand what metamorphosis is. Hmm.. this seems like a very hard job for him!

The caterpillar notices that other caterpillars are climbing a tree and are covering themselves inside a Chrysalis, a protective shell. He doesn't want to be left behind, so, he also gives it a try. But, it is so boring to remain inside the Chrysalis for two weeks. So, he comes out in a day, just to realize that he has not developed any wings like a butterfly. Phew! This is hard work - he returns back to the Chrysalis. Finally, he does manage to transform into a beautiful butterfly after the dreadful wait time of two weeks!

This story is a very simple yet awesome lesson for being patient at all times in life. The illustrations in this book are so suited to the story and so fun and colorful, that even little kids would be interested in this book.

This book would be a great read for elementary-level kids.
