Flea is a stray cat who has no place called home for himself, and he has a lot of adventures in the city of Paris.
Title: The Story of Diva and Flea
Author: Mo Willems
Illustration: Tony DiTerlizzi
Publisher: Disney Hyperion
Flea meets Diva unexpectedly while roaming around in the courtyard. They become friends and teach each other what they know. Diva tells Flea things like going inside for breakfast and how to be safe from strangers. However, Flea teaches about exploring Paris city and streets and meeting people. Their friendship develops in this way, each of them learning from the other.
The author has written this story with inspiration from a real dog and cat. The illustrations are gorgeous and beyond charming, and they capture the feelings of Diva and Flea precisely. The story setting of Paris gives a refreshing ambiance. This is a good and fun chapter book for elementary-aged kids.
