This is very true - even discarded ideas can build the basis for great things in life!
Sally McCabe is the smallest girl in the smallest grade and she goes unnoticed many time. However, she notices almost everything that happens around her. She notices the bullying in the classroom, playground, and the cafeteria.
Title: The Smallest Girl in the Smallest Grade
Author: Justin Roberts
Illustration: Christian Robinson
Publisher: G.P. Putnam's Sons Books for Young Readers
One day, Sally has had enough and decides to make herself heard. Even though she is so small, she finds the courage to speak out and ask her classmates to be nice to one another. She learns that even a small voice or girl can make a big difference!
Sally is a great example of bravery, courage, and leadership. Often onlookers are silent about bullying in school as well as other public places because they have become insensitive to such incidents, not due to fear. In today's world, when unkind acts happen, it is just treated as normal. However, let's together work to stop this vicious cycle.
👧🏻 Children's musician Roberts pinpoints the correct age group which goes through this strong sense of injustice.
👧🏻 Sally is totally inspirational for us in the way she fights back.
👧🏻 The simple illustrations in this book are very expressive and emotional, which supports the storyline perfectly.
👧🏻 This book would be perfect as a read-aloud for 3+ and a good elementary read as well.

Of late, I got to read two fascinating non-fiction books, which changed my ideology of the food and grocery industry from the roots up.
