A beginner chapter book series perfect for (it's too early, but) Halloween!
Sam Graves has been elected Hall Monitor for his third-grade class, of course, he never wanted this position at all! After nearly being killed by quicksand in the playground's sandbox, Sam realizes that this role is even more treacherous! It seems the school feeds off of students and it has been up to the school's janitor to take care of this matter. However, now the responsibility has been handed over to Sam.
