Leif and the Fall
This is very true - even discarded ideas can build the basis for great things in life!
Reading this book, I felt that it would be wonderful if all children had an elder grandma/grandpa or any other relative who could share stories from their older times. It makes the world we live in feel a lot different. It would also help the kids understand the value of all the things they have.

Our author is a Hmong refugee in the US. Her grandmother tells a lot of stories about her past and her family, each of which contains a lesson. Her life's hardship after her parents died and she had to raise younger brothers and sisters. Along with this, the kids are also directed to do the chores in the household, which teaches them patience.
The little girl longs for a lot of things her family cannot afford like ice cream, new clothes, meat, etc. This ends when she asks for braces for her teeth and her request is rejected as they say they can't afford it.
📚 The story teaches us about real beauty, the love of a family, sacrifice, and freedom.
📚 Charming, vibrant, and gorgeous illustrations.
📚 Perfect for elementary kids

Of late, I got to read two fascinating non-fiction books, which changed my ideology of the food and grocery industry from the roots up.
