The Hare Who Wouldn't Share
An uplifting story of a pessimistic selfish hare who doesn't like to share and work in a community. A very significant yet simple story in today's narrow-minded world!
Jia - a young girl is excited for the upcoming Lunar New Year celebrations. Her family is preparing for the celebration and of course, Jia wants to help them. Her family is busily doing the prepwork at their restaurant in Chinatown and no one seems to include Jia in this process. She doesn't keep quiet, however, when she asks if she could be of help, she is told that she is too young to be doing it - be it in the kitchen, lighting the lanterns, moving the big chairs, or carrying the plates. Jia is frustrated and sad!
Eventually, the celebration and the feast begins with the stunning lion dance. Jia was so excited that she ran to the lion dancers and they did let Jia help to catch the cabbage through the lion's mouth! Everyone was happy and had a lot of fun, especially Jia!
📚 The "too young to help" statement that Jia faces is quite relatable to kids, and so is the story.
📚 Delightful illustrations.

Happy St.Patrick's Day to all those who celebrate!
Purim, a joyful jewish holiday, is being celebrated on March 13-14 this year. This holiday is based on how Queen Esther and her cousin, Mordechai, prevented Jewish people from being slayed by the evil Haman in ancient Persia. It celebrates their miraculous success and survival.
