A little girl observes her surroundings and things happening around her in order to write them down on small strips of paper and links them together to create a big chain. Even if all of us don't get time to write or make paper links or make a chain, this should serve as a reminder from the little girl to all of us to take a moment, pause, observe, and honor life's tiny joys. The little girl has a very long list of things she is grateful for in her life!

The illustrations are very pleasing to the eyes and they indeed look like paper cutouts, especially the hot air balloon! The book is very well written and it would be very much suitable for elementary kids. As a matter of fact, this can be read even by us, adults to become more grateful for all the things we have in this world.
