In this story, the Frederick Douglas Elementary school is considered to be a character! The school finds a new friend - the janitor. The school comes to know from the janitor that there would soon be lots of children inside the school and he isn't sure he likes the idea. The day goes on and the school observes that a lot of children don't wish to be in the school. He watches children playing in the playground and learns shapes with kids in kindergarten. The school is shocked when the fire alarm goes off all of a sudden!
However, when the day winds down, the school thinks about all that had happened that day and he realizes that he does indeed like the children and wants them to come back the next day.
