The first book "Journey" is about a little girl who finds out a purple bird and its creator, a boy. She sets the bird free and gets a new friend, the boy. This is a tale of unearthing and excitement.

In the second book "Quest", the little girl and her friend meet a king who is trying to save his kingdom from a villain.

The third book "Return" starts here, when the father searches for his daughter and finally catches up to her. The father now takes centerstage, popping up right at the time and place required, to help the girl defeat the villain.

Yes, I do feel that the girl should have defeated the villain herself instead of giving the final accomplishment to her father. However, like all the books in the trilogy, this book is emotional and adventurous simultaneously. 

This final book in the Journey trilogy totally captures all our attention in utter silence and wondrous illustration. It drives our imagination into a beautiful journey.

Incredible book for adults and big kids alike. No words can do the correct justice to the three books in this trilogy! Since it is wordless, this trilogy would suit toddlers and little kids too.
