Dot is the smallest person that she knows, in her family and school. However, she tries to display her knowledge of square roots, world capitals, and space, to make others understand that "Small" and "little" do not mean the same. But, wherever she goes, however, she finds she must prove this again and again.

Title: Not Little

Author: Maya Myers

Illustration: Hyewon Yum

Publisher: Neal Porter Books

One day, Sam, a new boy appears at school. Dot instantly notices that Sam seems to be even smaller than she is. In the lunchroom, a boy bullies innocent Sam, and all of a sudden, Dot is the biggest kid anyone has ever met, standing tall against the bully. Dot finds her voice and stands tall to defend both of them.

📚 The story accurately captures the indignities of being small for your age. However, Dot uses her words to fight back. The story shows how fierce a person can be when the necessity arises!

📚 Colored pencil illustrations are very sweet. All the characters are illustrated clearly showing their energy and emotions, like smile, smirk, wink, etc.

Get ready to fall in love with adorable Dot. She is small, but not little!
