Night Lights

Heartfelt thanks to Book Publicity Services for sending me this book over for reviewing.

"Night Lights" - a charming book of original Zodiac-inspired fables of the twelve constellations. The stories revolve around Roman/Greek constellation stories.

Title: Night Lights

Author: Jeannie K Johnson

Illustration: Yoko Matsuoka

Publisher: Juju Press

This book has six short stories:

  • The Ram and the Fish
  • The Water Bearer and the Goat
  • The Archer and the Scorpion
  • The Scales and the Maiden
  • The Lion and the Crab
  • The Twins and the Bull

Each story begins with a brilliant illustration and ends with a picture of the constellation pairing. The stories are very beautifully written and are very compelling but at the same time, the clarity of the moral is not affected. It also promotes healthy discussions with your kids while you read it to them.

This book can be used as a read-aloud to kids just starting elementary school. For ages above that, this book would be a delightful read.
