Oliver is a little sea otter who loves swimming and playing in the water. But, he is a very cautious person for which he is usually teased by his friends.
Ollie wants to prove to all his friends that he is not a mommy's boy and he is allowed to explore the sea and land alone. Ollie's friends think his momma is overprotective! However, when Ollie does take such a risk, it turns out to be a tragedy and he gets separated from his friends and mommy due to an oil spill that was threatening wildlife.
Franklin is a puppy with a somewhat similar curiosity. Franklin gets separated from his owner Lucy when he was chasing squirrels at an inappropriate time. This is how Franklin and Oliver meet on the beach. Both of them set out together for an adventure of a lifetime to find their way back home!
🌈 Chapters alternate between Ollie's, Franklin's, and Lucy's points of view.
🌈 Readers will be delighted by the adorable pair of Franklin and Ollie, and their pranks and tricks.
🌈 A very serious environmental problem - the impact of oil spills - is deftly placed inside this story so that this issue reaches youngsters and they understand it well.
🌈 This can be classified as a middle-grade read, suitable for kids mostly 8+

Of late, I got to read two fascinating non-fiction books, which changed my ideology of the food and grocery industry from the roots up.
