This sweet story is about a little boy's first day "journey" to his school, which is not ordinary at all! He is heading out in a boat, all alone, with his little backpack and a single oar, through the Mekong River. The river doesn't seem to be too kind to the boy, there are monster waves and rain, and also, the wildlife, the water buffalos and reptiles and so many more thrills in his journey.

But, the boy's bravery, hard work, and perseverance present him with success in spite of his dangerous endeavor. All the anxiousness, diligence, and excitement end up in a wonderful reality - he reaches his school and he is very happy that he could!
