Grumpy Monkey Don't Be Scared
Halloween is over, but it looks like we're not really done with Halloween books! This is part of a book series that never disappoints the readers.
❤️ Such a sweet and lovely story!
Freda loves to go blueberry picking with her Grandma. She loves to devour blueberries as well. But, once, as she was gobbling the berries, she began to worry that she wouldn't be able to eat all the berries that she had picked and they would go bad. However, Grandma tells her that they could preserve the blueberries in jam form, so they can enjoy them later.
Hmm... Freda thinks that this concept is pretty interesting!!! What else could she save in a similar way? Freda doesn't want to lose her favorite things. She starts with a chocolate chip cookie.. and then it goes on and on! Yay! She will always have them now!
The things she puts into jars are not the things we would think of putting inside jars at all. She collects the moon to rainbows to, even her favorite people! However, eventually, she realizes that there are always memories to be made and your now-favorite things remain your favorites only when you can use them!
📚 Lovely message - rather than the real physical item, it is the importance you give an item and the memories related that matter.
📚 Impressive bright and colorful illustrations.
📚 The subtle message in the story is conveyed more through the pictures than the text.
📚 Perfect read for elementary kids ages 4+
