This sweet and gentle story is about a little boy, Manolo, and his love for unicorns. He feels that everything in this world is magical. He wants to dress up as an unicorn for his school's Wild Animal Parade. All others say that they are opting for peacocks, lions, koalas, etc. However, Manolo loves unicorns and he even has a daily journal in which he writes about his pursuit to spot a unicorn on the way to school one day. Hearing Manolo's decision to dress up as a unicorn, everybody teases him telling him that he can't dress up as a creature which doesn't exist. This makes Manolo extremely sad. In the night, Manolo has a beautiful dream, by which he understands that his belief about the world being magical and extraordinary is indeed true! The next day, Manolo has the most amazing costume that makes his classmates' jaw drop!
