Layla, a black unicorn, lives with her guardian Troll. She soon starts school at the Unicornia, the school of Unicorns, is she ready? When Layla gets to the school, however, she doesn't get along well there. Layla gets lost in the hall once, and sadly, no one sits with her at lunch. The next day, her friends help Layla get ready with lots of flowers and glitter in her hair. However, the unicorns dismiss her calling her "woodsy". Layla becomes sad feeling out of place.
