This is the 15th book in the "Whatever After" series. We've been reading each one of them in order, without missing any.
This story is based on the "Twelve Dancing Princesses" fairytale : each evening, the twelve princesses go outside somewhere and wear out their shoes. This makes the king frustrated as he needs to buy shoes for them everyday. Hence, the king offers a reward to the person who would be able to find out where the princesses are going everyday. But, the people who volunteered for this all failed and were executed. But, at last, an old soldier uses an invisibility cloak, and finds out that the princesses go through a secret door to an underground castle where they dance with princes!
In this book, the prince who is trying to find out the princesses' whereabouts is kinda stupid and silly. Abby and Jonah understand that each one of the princesses have their own wishes and preferences. The prince, Gene, however, is ready to give the crown ruby to Abby and Jonah, if they help him win. So, instead of the prince, Abby and Jonah use the invisibility cloak and follow the princesses to find out about the underground dance party. But, they have to hurry up because the last day of the prince is soon approaching. Meanwhile, they try convincing the king that all types of dancing are good and it isn't wrong. The king had banned all types of dances except ballet from the kingdom and now, he understands Abby's and Jonah's argument and agrees to their request.
Not the best book in this series, but we really enjoyed reading it!

Palindrome - yes, you will find them through the entire story. The title of the story is itself a palindrome! Wow! Such a poignant and emotional tale!
