I Lived Inside a Whale

This is Emma's story. I could very well relate myself with her. I would love to escape from this super chaotic world and disappear into a world of solitude with my books! Emma finds solace and refuge in a story.

Title: I Lived Inside a Whale

Author / Illustrator: Xin Li

Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers

Emma is a little girl who finds the world to be very chaotic. She feels the world around her is such a noisy place, with the cars honking, sirens wailing, kids screaming, etc and she dislikes all these commotions. However, Emma loves to read her whale book in her little book corner. So, she packs up and moves into the mouth of a whale (actually this is a part of her own bedroom which she has imagined in this way)! This is a very cozy, silent, peaceful, and calm place!

Is Emma able to continue and enjoy her seclusion? Does someone step into her world and interfere?
