This book is a celebration of Mia Armstrong, the tween actress, and her childhood with Down Syndrome. She uses humor and straight talk to introduce us to her world. She also pinpoints that there are at least some people in this world who have acted rudely to her by staring at her differences and ignoring her as not being worthwhile.

Title: I Am a Masterpiece!

Author: Mia Armstrong

Illustrator: Alexandra Thompson

Publisher: Random House Books for Young Readers

Mia's parents support her fully and accept her as she is, this gives her immense motivation to just be who she is and disregard other discourteous words.

Of course, we must understand the fact that every person with Down Syndrome is different in their way and no two such people are alike. People around may be ignorant of what this person is undergoing which might make them rude. However, proper education and knowledge can rectify this issue.

A very important message from this story is that you should never treat someone as abnormal or half-human just because they look different or do things differently than others do!

📚 A touching and heartwarming picture book

📚 Beautiful bright pictures support the story well.

📚 Perfect for kids ages 4+
