"Everyone can make a difference, no matter how small they are! "

If you've got kids who are aware of the issue of climate change or whom you want to be aware of this issue, then this is a book for you! It is a book inspired by Nobel Peace Prize nominee Greta Thunberg - the Swedish teenager who has led a global climate crisis movement. This story is about an incredibly sweet young girl, who despite being small, defends her forest from insensible giants who are destroying it.

All the animals in the forest are worried about their home because the giants are chopping down trees to make way for roads, factories, and houses. This is also producing a lot of smoke and environmental pollution.

When some of the forest animals turn to Greta for help, she decides to support the animals and protest the destruction the giants are causing. She realizes that the forest may soon disappear if this goes on, but the giants are too busy to listen! Eventually, many people joined Greta's protest and their voice was so huge and powerful that the giants had no choice but to listen.

  • This book is intended for young kids, and appropriately, the ending is happy. It talks about a big issue in a very child-friendly way. This gives the little ones a ray of hope and optimism and teaches them the importance of good friendship.
  • Vibrant, bold, and sophisticated illustrations support the story well. The images do make a bigger impact on the little kids than the story itself.
  • As a bonus, there is an additional section at the end of the book with information about the real Greta Thunberg and some positive steps that everybody can take to make a big difference to our nature.
  • This is a perfect book for little kids ages 3+. It could be a read-aloud or a good read for elementary kids.
