One is tiny and one is tall. One is extroverted whereas the other one is reserved. Gollie is too good-natured to let anything come in the way of their friendship, however, sometimes, she does impose her opinions on Bink. Even then, Bink has a strong will that opposes Gollie's opinions. Despite their differences and compromises, at the end of the day, they are always the very best of friends.

The images in this book are as important as the story itself and they blend so well together. This book seems to be in between little kid's books and middle-grade level. It teaches a great lesson of compromise in friendship and the importance of personal space and time.
