This book has a delightful story about changing your own destiny with the help of natural elements contrary to the normal beliefs. The illustrations accompanying the story are absolutely breathtaking! This book really deserves to be on your shelf this month and probably the whole year long!

Banshees are known as supernatural harbingers of doom in Ireland. When they are young, they are called Bansheenies and they grow in pods. Each of them has a purpose and that is to bond with the first human they see. They understand all about that human and unfortunately, also about when they would die. They are also supposed to let the human know when their time of death arrives by means of a special howl.

However, Beanie, the Bansheenie is not a regular herald of death. When Beanie meets Rose (her human), she decides that she is going to protect Rose and her family instead. Although Beanie is not able to communicate this to Rose, she creates a new sound from the power of ancient secrets. Beanie's connection with Rose is on a much deeper level than other Banshees' connections to their humans. Consequently, Beanie appears in front of Rose and warns them of a powerful storm that is approaching to destroy their home, in turn helping them escape from the clutches of death!

📚 Adorable and heartwarming story of a friendship.

📚 Incredible artwork - it is amazing how the colors shift depending on what is occurring in the story.
