Baby Monkey Private Eye is a cute book, which is also funny and lively. There is a new mystery in each of the chapters which the Baby Monkey detective solves in an exciting manner. The pencil drawings in this book are superlative and very detailed. We would never expect such extensive illustrations in a little kids' book. However, the words are very sparse and hence, this book is very much suitable for beginning readers. Even though this book can be considered a beginner chapter book, the kids won't get bored by the number of words in this book or by the length of this book. 

This is an excellent book from the perspective of beginning reader level. The kids would remain engaged until the end and they would feel that they accomplished reading a huge chapter book in one go. This would boost the confidence of the beginner reader.
