In this story, Anzu has a bonsai tree. He very patiently takes care of it by watering, pruning, repotting, etc. He wants to see it bloom. One day, he starts hearing cries from the neighboring city. Anzu feels sorry for them and uses his powers to create a shower of flowers and grow an instant bamboo forest for them. Unfortunately, the tiny residents in that city do not need flowers or bamboo, but, they need rainfall. To help them, Anzu invites them to come live with him, but they are not willing to leave their homes.

Finally, Anzu realizes that he should have first listened to what the problem is and what the neighboring city really wanted. In the same manner, the bonsai blooms once it receives the needed care!

This book would be a suitable read for elementary-aged kids. The illustrations in this book are so enticing and adorable. Additionally, the bonsai facts provided in this book are very informative. This story emphasizes the importance of patience, empathy, and taking the time to understand the real problem.
