Title: A Seed is Sleepy (Nature Books series)
Author: Dianna Hutts Aston
Illustration: Sylvia Long
Publisher: Chronicle Books
The first page shows seeds small to big and the last page shows the plants that sprouted from those seeds. In between these 2 pages is a gorgeous exploration of a variety of seeds. Some seeds float in the air or in the water, some are very tiny whereas some are huge weighing around 60 pounds and some take very few days to grow whereas some grow after thousands of years. In the beginning, a seed is sleepy, lying untouched and still, but very soon it becomes energetic, fruitful, and adventurous - spreading out and growing.
👉 This book contains a mix of print and cursive text, which are mostly poetic.
👉 There are glorious and detailed illustrations of seeds which are very accurate and educational.
Beautiful text and detailed illustrations make this a perfect read for elementary kids and up.
